One think that I have accomplished, though, is being the first hacker (AFAIK) to find the proper palette for NSMB's Logo (on the title screen)... Since I stopped using Tahaxan-Tihaxa, I have noticed that I am actually getting 4bpp images to display properly with palette files that have multiple sub-palettes, something that I like TileMolester for... Anyway, enough "Blah, Blah, Blah", and I'm going to cut to the chase of this blogging...
The other day I found this:
The images are what go on the touch screen in most levels, the 3 big circles are the slots for the star coins, the two squarish things to the top-right of them appear to be where the path is on the touch screen, the tower and Bowser Jr. head are the images at the end of the touch screen path, the garbled-looking stuff at the bottom-right of the image is the NES graphics found in many overworld levels, the top and bottom.
If you look at the two parts of the Boo, you'll notice that there is a cut-out section of it. See the flag-looking things to the left of the boo? Those are inserted into the cut-out. Then, the image is mirrored to make a full Boo, and triplicated to go on the touch screen... Neat, eh?
The image and pallete for that graphic is:
Image: d_2d_UI_O_1P_game_in_b_d_ncg.bin
Palette: d_2d_UI_O_1P_game_in_b_d_ncl.bin
The logo is stored in a tiled image at:
Image: UI_O_menu_title_logo_o_u_ncg.bin
Palette: d_2d_UI_O_menu_title_logo_o_u_ncl.bin
The second part of the image, which is the shaded one, is the third sub-palette of the palette file.
Also, if you watch the little video on the top screen of the main menu, you'll notice that the logo falls in and is broken and tilted, that image is here:
Image: d_2d_UI_O_menu_title_logo2_o_u_ncg.bin
Palette: Same as logo.
[edit]Here is a shot of that image before I had found the palette:

If you look at that one, you'll notice that there are two slightly different angles of the tilt... I have no real comment on that other than that they are both used...
Random note: I never thought that blogging could be so........fun..................
Random note 2: I like being able to ramble on and on and on without being yelled at...
